Application
The Ferrosilicon powder manufactured by us can be used in a number of applications, but the main use being in Dense Media Separation processes. Dense Media Separation, or the sink-float method, is an effective process used to separate heavy minerals light minerals, for example in gold, diamond, lead, zinc industry .
The Ferrosilicon is used by mixing it with water in a cyclone, to form a pulp of a very specific density (close to the density of target minerals). The cyclone will help to push material with heavier density to the bottom and sides, while material with lower density will float, thus separating target material from gangue effectively.
